Correction: The CBR published an article earlier today (Monday) reporting that the Capital Markets Board (CMB) of Turkey published a communiqué bringing together the hitherto separate classes of asset and mortgage backed covered bonds. The move was reported by a law firm but The CBR has since learnt that it concerns securitisation and that the anticipated merger of Turkey’s covered bond legal frameworks (see here for previous coverage) is yet to occur, though expected imminently. The article has therefore been removed.
