Barclays’ covered bond structuring head in London loses job
Wednesday, 19 February 2014
David Kim has lost his job at Barclays in London, where he had led its covered bond structuring, as part of hundreds of redundancies across the bank’s investment banking division, The Covered Bond Report understands.
David Kim was a managing director at Barclays with responsibility for covered bond structuring, based in London. He had also taken on some of the responsibilities of Ted Lord, Barclays’ former head of covered bond product, after Lord left his position last year to pursue other opportunities.
Riz Sheikh, Barclays’ head of Americas covered bond structuring, is among staff that the bank has laid off, as previously reported by The CBR.
Barclays declined to comment on Kim’s position.
