Miehs joins Helaba in ‘pioneering’ covered research role
Sabrina Miehs has joined Helaba from S&P to become the Landesbank’s first dedicated covered bond analyst.
Miehs left the rating agency at the end of November after wrapping up a project linked to Standard & Poor’s new counterparty risk criteria. She had worked at the rating agency for 11 years, and was most recently director, covered bond ratings.
Miehs took up her position at Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen in Frankfurt on Monday and will be responsible for covered bond research, the first time that the bank has an analyst dedicated to the asset class. She is part of the economics department, which is headed by Gertrud Traud, chief economist at Helaba.
“This is a new position to allow Helaba to meet its clients’ research needs,” said Miehs, “and I’m looking forward to what will in a way be pioneering work here.”
