Ralf Berninger has been appointed co-head of investor relations at Société de Financement Local (SFIL), after having previously been head of origination for public sector and financial institutions at Dexia Capital Markets.

Berninger will be co-head of investor relations with Jérôme Gyss at SFIL, which is the newly created parent of Dexia Municipal Agency successor entity Caisse Française de Financement Local. In his new role, Berninger will report to Pierre-Marie Debreuille, deputy CFO at SFIL.

Berninger joined Dexia in July 2007 after six years in FIG origination at Calyon. He previously worked in debt capital markets at DZ Bank and WestLB.

The DCM origination activities of Dexia are being wound down as part of the restructuring of the group.
