Rust says au revoir to covered bonds, hallo MTNs!

After six years of reporting on the covered bond market, The Covered Bond Report deputy editor Sue Rust will be leaving the market, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her invaluable work.

Sue Rust imageSue began covering the asset class six years ago, then as deputy at our erstwhile employer The Cover, just in time for Lehman’s collapse. Since then, at The Cover or The CBR, and whether juggling hectic issuance activity or trawling around for something on a slow news day, she has been unstinting in her conscientious and rigorous work. She joined us at The CBR shortly after our launch in 2011 and it is hard to imagine how our publication could have become so well established and highly regarded without her.

Sue won’t be leaving financial reporting entirely; indeed, as senior reporter at mtn-i reporting on the private placement market from the middle of this month, she is likely to cross some of your paths again soon.

We’re sure that many of you will agree that Sue has not only been a great servant of The Covered Bond Report, but also the wider covered bond market, and so join us in wishing her a fond farewell in the only way fitting for a Franco-American who spent her formative years in Germany: Ce n’est qu’un auf Wiedersehen, gal!
