Alessandro Brusadelli has been appointed head of group strategic funding and balance sheet management at UniCredit, replacing Waleed El-Amir, who has been promoted to the new position of head of group finance.

Brusadelli is promoted from his previous position of head of group credit treasury at the bank, which he joined in 2002. He reports to El-Amir (pictured).

El-Amir’s new role of head of group finance is a new position at UniCredit as a result of an internal reorganisation. He joined UniCredit in October 2012 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The CBR understands that El-Amir’s move will not affect his position as incoming chairman of the European Covered Bond Council, taking over at the turn of the year from Carsten Tirsbæk Madsen, CEO of BRFkredit.
