DZ appoints Ebert head of covered bonds
DZ Bank has appointed Matthias Ebert, formerly of Commerzbank, as head of covered bonds.
Ebert joined DZ on Friday as an executive director, after having left Commerzbank in March. Since joining Commerzbank in 2006, he had worked in a variety of FIG DCM roles, most recently as head of DCM bonds origination for banks in North America and Asia-Pacific.
Announcing the appointment, DZ Bank head of debt capital markets Friedrich Luithlen said that Ebert’s role will be to help further build out DZ’s franchise with financial institutions in North America and central and eastern Europe, as well as to expand its footprint in the growing covered bond market globally as head of covered bonds.
Ebert reports to Jörg Müller, head of FIG DCM at DZ Bank.
