KHFC upgraded after Fitch raises sovereign to AA-

Korea Housing Finance Corporation was upgraded from A+ to AA- by Fitch today (Friday) after the rating agency upgraded the South Korean sovereign similarly on Thursday of last week (6 September).
KHFC was one of three public sector entities to be have its rating raised following the upgrade of South Korea from A+ to AA-, on stable outlook.
“All three issuers’ ratings are credit linked to the sovereign, reflecting their quasi-governmental status and extremely high probability of support,” said the rating agency. “Fitch uses its public-sector entities (PSEs) rating criteria and applies a top-down approach in its analysis of these issuers.”
