Monday, 20 January 2014
Fitch on Friday affirmed and then withdrew the ratings of DNB Bank and DNB Boligkreditt and the latter’s covered bonds, with DNB Boligkreditt having at the end of November requested the withdrawal.
As previously reported in The Covered Bond Report, the Norwegian covered bond company at the end of November announced it had asked Fitch to stop rating its covered bonds.
Fitch on Friday affirmed DNB Boligkreditt at A+ and its mortgage covered bonds at AAA, on stable outlook, before withdrawing the rating. It also affirmed DNB Bank at A+, on stable outlook, and said that it decided to discontinue the ratings as these are uncompensated and “no longer considered relevant to the agency’s coverage”.
DNB’s covered bonds are rated triple-A by Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s.
